Top High School Basketball Recruit Receives Three-Year
Prison Sentence
Summary:
Tony Farmer, a High School senior and one of the top 50 high
school basketball players, was sentence to three years in prison. He went from
total popularity, and head person on the basketball team to being behind bars.
What happened is Farmer was declared guilty for robbing, kidnapping, assault,
etc. He would have gotten a college basketball career if he hadn't done all
those crimes. His reaction to his 3-year sentence in the courtroom was total
unhappiness and he almost cried. No one will ever feel good about doing bad and
that's exactly what happened with Tony Farmer, if you're doing what's wrong you
will never get away with it.
Reflection:
It is sad to see such a good player be had to choose the
wrong decision and then he got caught for the things he had done, and that’s why
before you do something think first, will this affect me later? What he did was
wrong and now he has to pay the consequences by going to prison and not making
it and it is now hard and what he did to his girlfriend was wrong, and I know
that if it’s a fight you have to talk it out and not solve it with this retched
violence.
